The sixth battle - on the River Bassas
The location of the River Bassas has never realy been resolved, nor are there
any strong candidates for the location.
Various options are
- A rock called "The Bass" in the Firth of Forth outside the town
of North Berwick.
- In Hampshire, near the River Lusas.
- Outside the town of Baschurch in Shropshire. The Canu Heledd of The Red
Book of Hergest notes that modern day Baschurch was known to the early British
as "Bassa."
- But most ersearchers end up saysing "the river Bassas as unidentifiable"
